Opulatrix Privacy Policy
How opulatrix Canada handles the personal information you share with the opulatrix platform.
Last updated: 1 January 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Opulatrix (operating in this region as opulatrix Canada, also referred to as opulatrix CA) collects, uses, discloses and safeguards personal information when you visit https://opulatrix-canada.com, open an account, or interact with the opulatrix platform. We adhere to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, provincial privacy legislation in Canada. By using our services you accept the practices set out below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you provide directly, that is generated automatically when you use the opulatrix platform, and that comes from authorised third parties supporting opulatrix investment workflows.
1.1 Information you provide
When you register, complete identity verification, or contact support, we collect data such as your full legal name, residential address, date of birth, email, phone number, government-issued identifier, source-of-funds declaration and trading-experience disclosures. Customer service correspondence, including chat transcripts and call recordings, is also retained.
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you load the opulatrix platform we record technical signals such as device type, operating system, browser version, language preference, IP address, approximate geolocation, referring URL, on-site clickstream, and time-stamped session logs. Cookies and similar identifiers are used as described in Section 5.
1.3 Information from third parties
Identity verification providers, banking partners, payment processors, fraud-prevention services, public registries and AML data vendors may share information with us so we can confirm your eligibility and protect your opulatrix CA account.
2. Purposes for Using Personal Information
We process personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances. These purposes include onboarding new clients, executing trades, settling deposits and withdrawals, monitoring opulatrix crypto and CFD activity for suspicious behaviour, providing customer support, sending service and security notifications, complying with legal duties, conducting analytics, improving our products, and — where you have explicitly consented — sharing news, opulatrix reviews summaries and educational material.
3. Legal Basis and Consent
For most processing we rely on your express consent, which is captured at registration. We also process information where it is necessary to perform our contract with you, to comply with a legal obligation (for example AML, sanctions screening and tax reporting), or where we have a legitimate interest that is not overridden by your privacy rights. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to [email protected]; some withdrawals may limit your ability to keep using the opulatrix platform.
4. Disclosure of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to:
- service providers acting on our behalf under written confidentiality agreements (cloud hosting, KYC vendors, payment processors, analytics, customer support tooling);
- regulators, law enforcement, courts and tax authorities where disclosure is required by Canadian or applicable foreign law;
- professional advisors such as auditors and lawyers under a duty of confidentiality;
- successors-in-interest in the event of a corporate reorganisation, merger or sale of substantially all assets, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember security preferences, plus optional analytics and performance cookies to measure how the opulatrix platform is used. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser; doing so may break parts of the site that depend on session state. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where technically feasible.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described above and to meet record-keeping obligations imposed by Canadian financial regulators — typically a minimum of seven years after the closure of a client relationship. After the retention period expires, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
7. International Transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside Canada. Where data leaves Canadian jurisdiction, we put contractual safeguards in place and require recipients to apply privacy protections substantially equivalent to those required under PIPEDA. By using the opulatrix platform you acknowledge that information may be processed in other countries and accessed there in accordance with their laws.
8. Security
We implement administrative, technical and physical safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity of the information held, including encrypted transport (TLS 1.2 or higher), encrypted storage of credentials, role-based access, network segmentation, continuous monitoring, periodic penetration testing and a documented incident-response programme. No method of transmission or storage is perfect, but we work hard to minimise risk.
9. Your Rights
Subject to verification, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccuracies, request that we restrict or stop certain processing, and request the deletion of information that we are no longer required to retain. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected] from the email tied to your opulatrix Canada profile. We respond within 30 days. If you believe we have not handled your request appropriately, you may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
10. Children
The opulatrix platform is intended for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a prominent notice on the opulatrix platform at least 14 days before they take effect.
12. Contact Us
Questions about this policy, our handling of personal information, or your statutory rights as an opulatrix CA client can be sent to [email protected]. We acknowledge every request within two business days.
